This will depend on the age and developmental status of your child. Our consultations involve obtaining history and examining your child, none if which is painful. In fact, we incorporate lots of play into our neurological examinations, and many kids enjoy the process. If your child requires diagnostic testing that could be painful, our staff will give you test-specific instructions on how to prepare your child.
Yes, the child is the patient therefore the child must be present at all appointments scheduled with our Child Neurologists.
Please bring any paperwork you would like the doctor to review at your appointment (ie. previous test results, report cards, other doctors notes).
